Statement Of Intent

My name is Megan Kerr and I'm from Leeds where they speak proper English. I am making a music video, CD cover and an advertisement for my media coursework. Last year, I created a rock music magazine called Boom! for my media coursework. It was aimed at older teenagers to young adults. The magazine project was really unorganised because I changed my mind alot and as I started the project doing a pop magazine, the photos that I had taken did not match the final idea of a rock magazine. From last years coursework I learnt a lot of skills on photoshop and also how to conduct surveys using survey monkey, I can use these skills and pieces of software in the next project. In this project I want to be more organised and stick to one idea, I want to achieve a realistic CD cover to match a professional looking music video that relates to the genre of music intended. I want to be able to use advanced IT skills to make sure the music video does not look amateur. In 10 years time I hope to be working for a magazine/ newspaper as a journalist, last years coursework really helped me get an idea of what it would be like to work in editing and creating for a magazine and also writing journalistic pieces for the article on a DPS.
